Surgoinsville: Charles Hale Davidson, Sr., age 91, of Surgoinsville, passed away, Sunday, July 27, 2025. Charles was a life long resident of Surgoinsville. He was of the Baptist faith. Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He had a special love for his Chihuahuas. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Annie Mauk Davidson; son, Michael Davidson; sisters, Nellie Young and an infant sister; brother, Jack Davidson, Ken Davidson, and Walter Bud Davidson; grandson, Jesse Stanton.

He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Davidson of Kingsport; sons, Charles Hale Davidson, Jr. of Surgoinsville, Elmer Davidson and wife, Jan of Roan Mountain; grandchildren, Charlotte Williams, William Seals, Heather Davidson, Josh Davidson, Andrew Davidson, Walt Wright, Becky Stanton, Tara Wallace and Van Davidson; great-grandchildren, Shannon Williams, Aurora Williams, Danielle Williams, Fisher Seals, Radlee Seals, Kaydance Schaeffer, Jaden Lane, D.J. Wright, A'rayha Wright, Ashlyn Mule` and Hayden Hill; brother, Russell "Pete" Davidson; several other nieces and nephews.

Visitation hours will be 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Friday, August 1, 2025 at Christian-Sells Funeral Home, Rogersville.

Funeral service will be 7:00 P.M., Friday, August 1, 2025 with Pastor Tim Nelson officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
