Charles Ellis Davis, 59, a beloved husband, devoted father, and cherished brother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 2, 2025, in his hometown of Aberdeen, Mississippi. Born on August 9, 1965, Charles was a lifelong resident of Aberdeen, Monroe County, where he cultivated deep roots within the community that defined his character and values.
Charles was the loving husband of Katie Davis; and the proud father to his daughter: Victoria Davis. He embodied the qualities of a family man, consistently placing his loved ones at the center of his life. His commitment to family extended to his brothers: James Davis, Clarence Davis, Larry Davis, Charles Wilson, Al Wilson: and his sisters: Willie Mae Tumblin, Shelia Davis Blanchard, and Rebecca Young, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Gilleylen, and his mother, Essie Mae Daniels, both of whom played significant roles in shaping the man he became. Their influence and guidance will forever remain a part of his legacy.
A visitation to celebrate Charles's life will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Belle Memorial Funeral Home, located at 216 Hwy 25 South, PO Box 129, Aberdeen, MS 39730. The celebration of his life will continue on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at New Life Missionary Baptist Church, starting at 2:00 PM, at the church located on Darracott Road, Aberdeen, MS 39730.
Charles's memory will continue to live on through the love he shared and the lives he touched. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, support, and unwavering love, which will be cherished by his family and friends for years to come.
