Charles DeWitt, Jr.

Charles Irvin Dewitt, Jr., aged 64, entered eternal rest on September 29, 2023. He was a lifelong resident of Madisonville, Louisiana where he enjoyed talking on his CB radio, working on small engine repairs, and early Saturday morning deal finding at local estate sales. His nieces and nephews were the apple of his eye.
  He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ethel Lee Dewitt, Sr. and sister, Christine Dunn.     Those left to mourn his loss include his brother Brian Dewitt (Elke Landry), brother-in-law, Rory Dunn, and numerous nieces and nephews.       The Dewitt family would like to express our gratitude to nurse Kim and the exceptional staff at St. Tammany Hospice for their patience and attentiveness toward Charles. We also appreciate all of the care and support from friends and family over the last few months.        Services will be held Saturday, October 07, 2023, at Bagnell and Son Funeral Home 75212 Hwy 437 Covington, Louisiana 70435.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Followed by service at 12:00 p.m. officiated by Brother Robert "Bob" Younge.  Graveside service will follow at Mae Edwards Cemetery in Bedico, LA.       Pallbearers include Brian Dewitt, Randall J. Dunn, Rylan Dunn, Kyler Dunn, Donald Peters, and Mike Lee.
