Charles Louie Dick, 82, of Science Hill, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2024 at his home.

He was born on May 11, 1942 to the late Arl & Ruth (Elliott) Dick in Port Clinton, Ohio. He grew up working in his father's grocery store known at that time as Arl Dick Grocery. He attended Somerset High school and then later graduated from Lindsay Wilson College and Eastern Kentucky State College at the top of his class. He was a member of Pi Omega Pi fraternity. He taught school at Eubank High School from 1964 until 1966 when he was drafted into the United States Army. He served as the company clerk of company B19-5, and these were some of the most memorable years of his life. He loved books, people, and education as well as his church and his family. He was a member of The Trinity Church of Science Hill, formally Science Hill United Methodist.

He is survived by his wife, Jerry Rae (Broyles) Dick; his son, Charles Ray Dick; and a granddaughter, Anna Katherine Dick.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. David Green, Bro. Glen Pettygrove, and Bro. Troy Poff officiating. Military Honors will be performed by American Legion Post #18.

Burial will be at Science Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends starting at 11 AM until time for services.
