Charles Dix

Charles Dix, born on August 24, 1955, passed away on October 30, 2025, at the age of 70. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Charles dedicated 40 years of his life to Delta Airlines as a skilled aircraft mechanic, where his expertise and commitment earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues. Outside of work, he had a zest for life and a deep appreciation for the great outdoors. He embraced adventure through scuba diving, four-wheeling, and riding motorcycles. He found peace in fishing and often shared laughter with those around him, known for his humorous spirit. An animal lover at heart, Charles' compassion extended beyond people to the animals he cherished.
He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Linwood and Reba Dix. Charles leaves behind a loving family, including his wife of 39 years, Robin Dix, and their children: Katie Dickson (Brian), Jana Jensen (Stephen), and Matthew Dix (Stephanie). He was the proud grandfather, affectionately known as "Papa," to Haeleigh, Kendall, Mason, Madison, Mackenzie, Emma, Greyson, Jax, Bayli, and Myles, who will forever hold his memory close. Charles is also survived by his sister Lynn Carnes (Tony) and brother Tim Dix (Elisha).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Royal Animal Refuge or the Fayette Humane Society, reflecting Charles' enduring love for animals and dedication to their welfare.
Charles Dix will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, loving nature, and the warmth he brought into the lives of those he touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Tyrone Depot on November 24, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
