Charles Fredric "Chuck" Dolquist passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at the age of 90 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in
Yakima, Washington to Pete and Ursula Dolquist.
Chuck attended school in Union Gap, Washington, junior High and graduated from Yakima High School in 1954. He excelled in football and baseball and had many life long friends. Dad went on to Yakima Valley College on a two year baseball scholarship receiving his associates degree.
Dad enlisted in the United States Army on July 15, 1955, was processed at Fort Ord California and received basic training at Fort Carson Colorado which he completed in mid December. He was stationed with 33rd Infantry Regiment at Fort Kobe Panama Canal Zone where he spent two years in jungle training. Dad returned to Yakima beginning his career with Boise Cascade, retiring as the regional Purchasing Manager after 29 years. He began his second career as owner and operator of Yakima Plastic Supply. He was often called Mr. Plastic and retired again at the age of 80.
Chuck married the love of his life, Addie Feist, and they have spent 65 amazing years together enjoying adventures of life and traveling down south. Mom and Dad loved traveling to Japan and Thailand. New Orleans Mardi Gras was a favorite.
Dad fished the Canadian waters for salmon and enjoyed beautiful sunsets. He hunted deer, elk, and birds in the Cascades, Tieton, and Okanogan regions, bringing home much game for Mom to cook. Hunting with his son, grandson, family and friends gave him much pride and enjoyment.
Dad was an avid golfer. He had his first hole in one at Westwood West where he was a member of The Men's Club for many years.
Dad took his family and grandchildren on many vacations. Disneyland was certainly a favorite. He taught his children to water ski on his boat, The Charlie's Angel, at the rivers and lakes which will never be forgotten. Dad gave us lifelong skills, the great love of nature and taught us to always be kind and understanding. He never missed his kids and grandkids sporting events and was always very involved cheering them on.
Chuck is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Addie, daughter Terri Ann Crosslin (Don), son Jon Dolquist, grandchildren Kaity Hodge (Thomas), Christopher Crosslin (Cali), Jamie Gjendem (Loren), Kelsey Robles (Francisco) and great grandchildren Leo and Lucy Green and Margo Gjendem, his loving sister LaRayne (Gary), sisters in law Cheryl Feist and Beverly Dolquist, and also leaving behind many special nieces and nephews. His legacy will live on forever through his children.
