Charles Eifler Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Costin Funeral Chapel - Martinsville on Jan. 23, 2023.
Charles William "Chip" Eifler, 86, Martinsville, passed away at 12:07 p.m. on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Grand Valley Health & Rehab.
Chip was born on July 12th, 1936 to William and Charlesetta Eifler in Louisville, Kentucky.
Chip had a dynamic and successful career as a homebuilder, and later as a corporate businessman in which he enjoyed traveling and making a buddy everywhere he went. Chip was a natural leader, a driven & self motivated man, and he was an engaging character who significantly impacted the lives of many. He moved throughout his career from Kentucky to Florida, to Illinois, and eventually back to Florida where he retired in his mid 50's. Upon his retirement he and Carol, his wonderful wife of over 32 years, split their time between Florida and North Carolina, and many places in between with their beloved cats along for the ride. He deeply loved his church and his politics. Chip spent his final years in Indiana, close to family.
No one loved a good joke or prank more than Chip Eifler. He showed his love through pushing buttons and was determined to find fun for himself in every room he entered. You could often find him with a little smirk on his face, knowing he was up to something.
Later in life, Chip began creating stained glass art. One of his great joys was creating beautiful pieces for others. He was eventually given a dream of making one hundred stained glass crosses to give away. That goal was far exceeded, and now a few hundred crosses later, Chip's artistry and desire to point others to the cross of Jesus Christ will continue to live on. "~CHiP" will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his son, Terence "Terry" Eifler, and his step-son Harold Gene "Genie" Moss.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Eifler, his children, Rick Eifler, Dan Eifler, and Nancy (Barry) Amettis, his stepdaughter Vicky (Dennis "Eugene") Nail, his grandchildren Lucy Eifler, Andrea (Ethan) Hollett, Jake (Sloane) Amettis, his step-grandchildren Charisse (Travis) Fleener and Sabrina (Ryan) Cook, and his step-great-grandchildren Noah Fleener, Isaiah Fleener, Grace Cook, Eli Cook, and Isaac Cook.
A celebration of life will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Eastview Christian Church, 2745 Old Morgantown Road, Martinsville, Indiana. Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m.
