JERSEY SHORE - Charles C. “Charlie” Eigenbrod, 76, passed away suddenly at Jersey Shore Geisinger Hospital on Friday, March 6, 2026.
He was married to the former Caroline R. (Polensky), who survives, for 21 years.
Charlie was born on March 18, 1949 in Jersey City, New Jersey and was the son of the late Clyde and Virginia (Nunez) Eigenbrod. He graduated from Jersey Shore High School and obtained an associate degree from WACC in Electrical Engineering. Charlie worked and retired from Jersey Shore Steel and in his spare time, loved to pilot airplanes.
In addition to his wife Caroline, he is survived by four sons; Steven Eigenbrod of Virginia, Kevin Eigenbrod of Jersey Shore, Matthew Eigenbrod of Harrisburg and Johnny Guthrie of Williamsport, one granddaughter; Laurel Eigenbrod, one step-daughter; Christina Kiessling (Matthew) of Montoursville, three step-grandchildren; Joshua Kiessling, Jonah Kiessling and Jayden Kiessling, one brother; Kenneth Eigenbrod of Kutztown, one step-grandson; Ryan W. Charles of Kansas City, MO and four step-great grandchildren; Grayson, Raena, Lorelai and Robby Charles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by step-daughter; Kelly Charles and two brothers; David and Joseph Eigenbrod.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are being handled by Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore.
