Charles Bernard Evans

Charles Bernard Evans, age 76, of Greensboro, NC, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, at Hospice of Randolph County. Born on September 25, 1949, in Orlando, Florida, Charles was the beloved son of Frank and Thelma Evans.

Charles devoted 30 years of service to the New York City Transit Authority, where he was respected for his dedication and hard work. After retiring, he pursued his passion for learning and graduated from Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) with a degree in Culinary Arts. His love for cooking and hospitality brought joy to family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of sharing a meal with him.

He is survived by his son, Charles "Charlie" Evans, and daughter-in-law, Joanetta Evans; his nephew/son, Tyrone Evans; his nieces/daughters, Toni Evans, Tyes Evans, and Thanayi Ruth; his grandson, Jaylen Campbell-Evans; his granddaughter, Jazzmyne Campbell-Evans; his great-grandson, Amir Campbell-Evans; his brother, Jerry Evans; and his sister, Patricia Evans.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Thelma Evans; his wife, Beverly Evans; his sister, Ermeise Evans Puentes; and his brothers, George Evans and Tommy Evans.

A Memorial service celebrating Charles's life will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Triad Cremation & Funeral Service, 2110 Servomation Road, Greensboro, NC 27407. There will be no burial and no visitation following the service.
