Charles “Chuck” Fassnacht Jr, 63, of Akron Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025 with his loving family by his side.
Born on January 4, 1962 in Akron, Ohio, Chuck was the son of Charles “Butch” Fassnacht and Alice (Ruth) Fassnacht. He graduated from Mogadore High School in 1980 and went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Kent State University.
Chuck married his beloved wife, Lisa (Harbaugh) Fassnacht, on September 29, 2021 in Westmoreland, Jamaica and they shared 14 years together and a marriage filled with love and laughter.
Chuck had many years of experience in the pizza business, most recently with Papa John’s, where he was known for his dedication, integrity and pizza making. He was a favorite with customers and received highly rated reviews of his customer service.
Beyond his work, Chuck had a passion for sports, namely baseball, basketball and football. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Guardians, Cleveland Cavaliers and (reluctantly at times) the Cleveland Browns. He was also a big fan of music from classic rock, oldies, disco, pop, punk – you name it. His first dates with Lisa involved a laptop and YouTube playing his favorite videos. He loved animals, especially his dogs, Annie and Fritz, who he’s hopefully with right now. His family and friends will remember him for his intelligence, sense of humor and the positive impact he had on everyone he met.
Chuck was preceded in death by his father Charles Fassnacht and his sister Laura Archer. He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa (Harbaugh) Fassnacht; his mother Alice (Ruth) Fassnacht; his children, Susan Fassnacht, Justin Wade Fassnacht and Sergio Roper (Cleo Bebber); his sister, Becky Schuler and her fiance, Matt Smith; sister and brother in law Michelle and Cleveland Robinson; nieces Rachell (Mike) Travagliante, Alexis (Ethan) Smith, Kassidy Robinson and Clarisse Robinson; nephews Bryce Smith, Damien Robinson and Alexander Robinson.
Chuck’s friends and family are invited to attend a visitation which will be held on November 14, 2025 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Adams Mason Funeral Home (791 East Market Street in Akron, Ohio) where funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00pm. Interment will be at a later date after cremation.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Summit County Humane Society at www.summithumane.org, an organization close to Chuck's heart as he was an avid animal lover. To sign up as an organ donor, like Chuck, go to www.lifebanc.org and click on the blue button to begin the sign up.
