To the entire Fenech family and Charles´ friends, my sincere and deepest sympathy goes out to you.
Charles was one of my absolute favorite people in our neighborhood. He was such a wonderful friend and defender. He stuck up for me like I was his little sister. My parents loved having him come over to hangout. Charles was so good to them. I do believe he saved my life at one point when him and I along with several of our other friends were jumping a make shift ramp with BMX bicycles. While I was attempting to jump the ramp, it fell apart causing me to fly over the handle bars and sliding on my face across the hardened sand of a construction site. Apparently it knocked me out but Charles knew exactly what to do to bring me back. I looked like a chainsaw massacre victim by time I made it home. If he wouldn´t have been there I don´t think I would have woke up. I always looked up to him and enjoyed hanging out with him as teenagers. As we grew into adulthood, he would come visit me when I lived on the lake. We always had a great time. The last time I saw him was a a 4th of July party at a mutual friend´s home in Brownstown. Unfortunately we lost track of each other and I regret that terribly.
I am so sorry you all are hurting and that Charles is no longer with us but I truly believe that he is whole again and no longer suffering. I hope he and my brother, Tom Aldis, have found each other up there in heaven.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, I pray God continues to comfort you all. Hearing of Charles passing hit me hard today. I last saw Charles at his mom´s funeral and prior to that it had been many many years. We grew up together, our parents were great friends and we were like family. I have such awesome memories of growing up with Maria, Charles and Joe......so many fun times together.... Oh how I wish we could go back to those days....things were so much easier...my heart goes out to his family. I´m so very sorry for this huge loss. God please bless his soul and the souls of the faithful departed in the Mercy of God. Amen
