Charles "Charlie" Michael Foster; age 74 of Rochester Hills, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 27, 2022. Loving husband of Denise; dear father of Allie (Mike) Shermetaro; devoted grandpa of Frankie (5) and Jude (3) Shermetaro; brother of Edward (Dale) Foster; brother-in-law of Cathy (Tom) Needham; uncle of Melanie (Miles) Petersen and Ryan (Katy) Needham.
Charlie was born on April 3rd 1948 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Edward and Jean Foster. He graduated from Ferris State University, where he met his wife, Denise, and many of his close friends who fondly know him as, "Ripple". Charlie and Denise were wed on February 8th, 1975 in Warren, Michigan. His many years of professional sales work came naturally and was enjoyable to him. Charlie was loved by all who met him and happiest while spending time with his family. He was outgoing and sociable; always had everyone smiling, laughing and feeling at ease in his presence. He was a former member of Knights of Columbus and was an active member in both the church and his community for many years. Giving back and taking care of others meant the most to him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022 – 10:30 a.m. with in-state at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 715 N. Lapeer Rd., Lake Orion. The family will receive friends Thursday 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Rosary at Modetz Funeral Home, 100 E. Silverbell Rd., Orion.
Suggested memorial contributions to ALS of Michigan or Solanus Casey Center would be appreciated.
