Charles Freville Obituary

Charles was born in Louisville and attended Our Mother of Sorrows grade school, St. X High School, and Bellarmine College. He was an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church from 1959 – 1989. Since 1990, Charles has been a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.
Charles enjoyed entertaining and having camaraderie with the Thursday Night Group, the Friday Night Group, and The Louisville Jaycees. He was also a member and past president of the Highlands Lions Club. Charles was an avid traveler, as he visited all fifty states and the Canadian provinces and also took multiple trips to Ireland. He also loved to garden, working with stain glass, and was very fond of his active retirement with his wife and family.
He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 64 years, Carole Dear; children, Mike (Laura), Ben (Julie), and Celisse (Keith); grandchildren, Daniel Raque, Brandon Freville, Peter Freville, Alex Freville (Anna), Renee Freville, and Chloe Freville; and his beloved pet, Izzy.
Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Wednesday, December 27 at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road. Funeral Mass will be at 10 AM on Thursday, December 28 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 3705 Stone Lakes Drive.
