Charles Granger Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Eastern Shore Cremation and Funeral Service on Mar. 26, 2026.
Charles "Charlie" Grayson Granger passed away peacefully while watching the Assawoman Bay go by on the morning of March 12, 2026, after a long and hard-fought battle with cancer.

Born November 1, 1960, Charlie was the son of Grayson and Annette Granger of Pocomoke City, MD. Charlie is survived by his loving sisters, Nancy Miles (Danny) of Pocomoke City, Debbie Miles (Doug) of Salisbury and Betty Dennis (Greg) of Ocean City. Nieces Kelly Miles (Liz) of Charlottesville, VA., Dana Hanson (James) of Carey, NC. and nephews Brian Miles (Krista) of Westover, Md. and Will Miles (Jill) of Wilmington, Del, and Samantha (Sam) his beloved Jack Russell. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by a nephew Wayne Miles of Pocomoke.

For years Charlie dedicated his life to the automobile industry including working for Midway Chevrolet, Massey Ford, and Sho-Wil Chevrolet. His work ethic and easy-going personality earned him the accolade of being one of the finest parts specialist.

Charlie enjoyed being on pool and dart leagues and spending time with his friends at Spikes Pub and Subs in Princess Anne, Md. He was an avid fan of NASCAR Racing and attended races collecting Dale Earnhart memorabilia. Charlie was a proud member of the Pocomoke American Legion where he spent time volunteering with his friends. However, his passion was fishing. Charlie spent many hours fishing with his friend and cousin Bobby Hudson and of course enjoyed telling "fish tales" of their adventures.

He loved teaching his nieces, nephews, and great nephews how to bait the hook and cast a line.

Charlie lived his life for others. He was known as a kind, selfless, and loyal son, brother, and friend. Charlie's generosity touched countless lives. He was one of the most giving souls God ever created. He enjoyed baking brownies, sharing flowers from his garden and special treats with friends and family. In addition, he meticulously cultivated a vegetable garden just to share with others simply because he believed it was the right thing to do.

A Memorial Service will be held at1:00pm on Saturday, April 11,2026 at The Pocomoke Fire Company Community Center, 1410Market St., Pocomoke, Md., visitation will be one hour prior. Food and fellowship will follow. Charlie would want everyone to feel comfortable, so please dress as you wish.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Worcester County Humane Society https://worcestercountyhumanesociety.org/donate /, P.O. Box 48, Berlin MD 21811 or Coastal Hospice, PO Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802.
