Charles Herbert "Left Lane" Gwin Jr.

Rogersville: Charles "Left Lane" Herbert Gwin, Jr., age 69, of Rogersville, formerly of Union City, PA, he went to join his wife and the Lord, Monday, December 22, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Charlie was a truck driver for over 15 years. He loved riding his motorcycle with his biker family. Preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Ellen Gwin; parents, Charles Herbert and Hazel Gwin, Sr.; step-daughter, Samantha Worley; sisters, Diane Lillie, Helen Seltzer, and Ruth Irene Gwin; mother-in-law, Mary Gulley; his beloved dog and best friend, Suzie.
He is survived by his sons, Shawn Gwin and wife, Janelle, Josh Gwin, Paul Gwin and wife, Janene; daughter, Raquel Marino; grandson, Joshua Gwin; sisters, Marjorie Shrefler and husband, Bob, Abigail Gwin, Dorothy Butcher and husband, Bob; brother, Michael Gwin; sister-in-law, Margo Gulley; niece, Monica Helton and husband, Ricky; several nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Dave "Big Time" Richards and wife, Shelly. A special thank you to his nurses, Christy and Callie.
Graveside service will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Hawkins County Honor Guard and Tennessee Army National Guard. Those who wish to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:45.
