Charles Scott Harper

Charles Scott Harper, age 58, passed away on October 30, 2025 in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was born in Drakesboro, Kentucky April 24, 1967 to the late Charles Ed Harper and Shelba Jean (Hall) Gibson. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister Beth Harper.
Scott worked at Carhartt as a US Safety Manager, and he was a proud veteran of the United States Coast Guard. After his service he continued to give back by serving as a beloved coach to many different youth sports programs. When he wasn't coaching, he was cheering on the UK Wildcats. Above all, Scott was a devoted family man whose joy came from being around those he loved. His loyalty, love of coaching, and spirited enthusiasm will be deeply missed.
Survivors include his wife Nisa (Floyd) Harper, his four children; Leah Renfrow (Andrew), Jeana Day (Robert), Travis Harper (Haley), and Jillian Walker (Michael). Five grandchildren; Evelynn Renfrow, Jack Day, Hattie Renfrow, Anderson Renfrow, and James Harper. Two sisters; Pam Grisaffe (Danny) and Lisa Delahoussaye (Steven) also survive.
Visitation will be from 3 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2025, and from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Wednesday at the J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m Wednesday at the funeral home.
