Charles Edward Hatcher of Holiday Island, Arkansas was born on December 10, 1946, in Eureka Springs to Frank and Juanita (Shouse) Hatcher. Charles passed away January 18, 2023, in Bentonville at the age of 76.
Charles was a well decorated combat Vietnam veteran serving our country where he received two Purple Hearts. He loved nature and the outdoors. Charles liked gunsmithing, shooting rifles, hunting, hiking, fishing, and camping.
Charles is survived by his children Carl Hatcher. Roseann Camp and husband Brian of Joplin, Missouri; grandchildren Autumn, Sierra, Briar Camp; cousin Shirley Evans of Elk Ranch, Arkansas; along with several friends.
He is preceded by his parents Frank and Juanita Hatcher; long life partner Karen Hatcher; brothers Emmitt Hatcher, Arthur Hatcher; sister Nancy Grigg.
Visitation will be 9:00 am till 10:00 am, Monday, January 23, 2023, at Nelson's Chapel of the Springs in Eureka Springs. Funeral service will be 10:00 am, Monday, January 23, 2023, at Nelson's Chapel of the Springs with Bro. Rick Nixon officiating. Interment will follow at the Eureka Springs Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675. Arrangements under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
