Charles Edward "Chuck" Hiles

Charles (Chuck) Hiles, 93, of Portland, Oregon died November 20, 2025.
He was born in Newark, Ohio on March 1, 1932, to Lester and Mary Hiles. He was the oldest of six children. He graduated from Washington High School in Utica, Ohio. He served 4 years in the United States Navy on an aircraft carrier.
Chuck married Pat (Wood) October 22,1955. He worked for Pacific Northwest Bell (Century Link) for 40 years prior to his retirement, then went on to work at NorAm Utility Corp for several years. He loved hunting, fishing and camping with his family and friends. He was a self-taught handyman, always had multiple projects he was tinkering with.
He was preceded in death by his wife Pat of 63 years. He is survived by his daughters, Kathy (Randy), Sandy (Dave) and, Janelle; and granddaughter, Chantel (Patrick).
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, December 15, 2025 at Mt. Scott Funeral Home, SE 59th and SE Foster Rd. Interment will be in Willamette National Cemetery.
