In Loving Memory of Charles Wayne Jackson
July 24, 1943 – November 1, 2025
Charles Wayne Jackson, age 82, of Hartsville, passed peacefully in the presence of family after a long and full life marked by hard work, love, and devotion.
Born on July 24, 1943 to Hubert and Margaret Louise Warren Jackson, Charles grew up learning the value of honesty, hard work, and helping others-principles that guided him throughout his life.
A man who could build or fix just about anything, Charles spent his life working in construction, running his own wrecker service, farming the land, and serving as the trusted right-hand man to the owner of Hartsville Health and Rehab. He was also the proud owner of Double J Simmentals, which he operated alongside his beloved son Donald and granddaughter Kayla-a legacy that reflected his lifelong love of family, farming, and the cattle he cherished.
He had a special fondness for horses and Simmental cattle-strong, steady, and true, much like the man himself.
Charles adored his wife, Juanita, who passed away 12 years ago. In God's perfect timing, he left this world just one day before her birthday-so he could celebrate with her again in heaven.
He was a proud grandfather and father figure to many, loving his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren-whether by blood or by bond-with equal joy and devotion. His home and heart were always open.
Charles was also a devoted brother to his four sisters, whom he protected and adored throughout his life. His loyalty and love for his family knew no bounds.
A friend to many and a stranger to none, Charles will be remembered for his generosity, quick wit, and steadfast integrity. His hands built things that will last, and his heart built connections that will never fade.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Juanita Jackson; his parents, Hubert and Margaret Louise Warren Jackson; and sisters, Nannie Sue Hale and Shelby Bowen.
He is survived by sons Donald Wayne (Abby) Jackson, Johnny Ray (Kristy) Jackson and daughter Cynthia (Robert) Johnson; grandchildren Kayla Jackson, Kendall (Brady) Harris, Cooper (Ciara) Jackson, Karly Jackson, Kealey Jackson, Kaycee Jackson, Dalton (Kelly) Stanley, Bailey (Brett) Allen, Haynes (Brady) Alderson, Rachel Johnson, Nathan Johnson, Chace Johnson; great-grandchildren Everly, Emmitt and Elliott Allen, Nahla and Arabella Alderson, Anniston and Henley Harris; and sisters Elaine Cranford and Barbara (Bobby) Parker.
Charles leaves behind a strong legacy of faith, family, and friendship-a life built on love and hard work that continues to inspire all who knew him.
