Obituary: Charles Ray Johnson (07/04/1960 - 01/17/2024)
Long time resident of Beriwck lived in Franklin, LA - Charles Ray Johnson (Weever Man), a dedicated father, son, and brother, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2024, at the age of 63. Charles was born on July 4, 1960, in Morgan City, Louisiana, to Wanda Lavin Jones and Leroy Johnson.
Charles chased his dreams and excelled as a skilled carpenter. He dedicated his career to the lumber yard industry, where his expertise and craftsmanship were highly regarded. Colleagues and clients alike appreciated his attention to detail and his commitment to providing quality work.
A passionate fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Charles always made time to watch and support his favorite football team. Whether it was discussing the latest games or cheering loudly for the Steelers, his love for the sport brought joy to his family and friends.
Chuck was known for his friendly and outgoing nature. His friends and family were a constant source of joy and support in his life, and he cherished their company dearly. Whether it was spending a weekend fishing or just enjoying a drink with his companions, Chuck was always eager to create lasting memories with those he held dear.
Charles leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He will be deeply missed by his spouse of 27 years Enora Lombas; daughters, Charlene Johnson and Keisha Lombas; son, Alonzo (Sabrina) Alexander; mother, Wanda Lavin Jones; brothers, Leroy (Bridgitt) Johnson, Ronald (Ida) Johnson, and Fredrick (Cynthia) Johnson; sisters: Sandra (Thomas) Morrison, Lisa (Terrance) Francis, Sheila (Kevin) Sam, and Rhonda Daniels; God sister, Connie (Brandon) Johnson; sixteen grandkids. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Charles was preceded in death by his father Leroy Johnson; brother, Shawn Johnson; brother-in-law, Raymon Daniels; grandmothers, Clara B. Johnson and Nellie P. Williams; grandfathers, Freddie Johnson and George William Sr., and niece, Lakisa Williams.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January, 27 2024 at Twin City funeral home from 11:00am till 3:00pm.
