Charles Johnson Obituary
Charles "Randy" Johnson, age 60 of Tioga, PA passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 22, 2024. He was born November 22, 1963 in Wellsboro, PA to Charles F. and Sandra A. (VanDusen) Johnson. Randy was an Elkland High School graduate of class 1981 and graduated from Corning Community College in 1999 after achieving his engineering degree. He was an Alumni of Elkland's high school band, the Farmington Township Supervisor and was on the Tioga County Fair Board for several years. On May 28, 1993 Randy married Janet Waina and they spent 30 loving years together before his passing.
Randy was said to be reliable, he was always the man you called if help was needed. He enjoyed the outdoors; like taking care of his lawn, grilling, raising chickens and tapping 30 plus maple trees. Randy was known as the mechanic of the family; he rebuilt his tractor a few years ago and was always tinkering away on a new project. He loved woodworking, blues music, driving his truck and spending time with his beloved dog best friend - Griffin. Randy loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
Randy is survived by his loving wife, Janet Johnson of Tioga, PA; children, Kyle (Alyssa) Johnson of Clifton Springs, NY and Olivia Johnson (Anthony Nybeck) of Troy, PA; parents, Charles and Sandra Johnson; siblings, James (Melissa) Johnson of Corning, NY, Jennifer (Jody) Butler of Tioga, PA, Craig (Elizabeth) Johnson of Tioga, PA and Kaitlynn (Aaron) Hultz of Millerton, PA; nieces and nephews, Jayden Johnson, Jaylin and Jana Butler, Willa and Emery Hultz, and Kenna and Charlie Johnson; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his dog best friend, Griffin. He was preceded by a niece, Emersynn Johnson; paternal grandparents, Jean and Clarence Johnson; and maternal grandparents, Wallace and Willimine VanDusen.
Family and friends are called to Kenyon Funeral Home, 214 W. Main St. Elkland, PA on Thursday, February 29th from 5:00 - 7:00pm and on Friday, March 1st from 11:00am - 12:00pm.
