Charles Ethan King, a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend was born on January 12, 1999, in London, Ky, where he resided until his passing.
He was the cherished son of Charles Stephen King and Mary Mobley King, both of London. Ethan was engaged to his loving fiancée, Janessa Dugger, with a baby on the way, Charles Coye King. He was a devoted brother to Andrew C. King and his wife Ashley, all residing in London. He was adored by his grandparents, Joe and Judy Mobley, and Barbara King. Ethan was a proud uncle to his niece, Ansley Jo King, and nephew, Conrad King. He is also survived by his loving uncle, Andrew D. King and wife Aleatha, and cousins, Carson and Cameron King.
Also surviving Ethan are aunt Julie Vanatter and husband Marty, and cousins Ryan and Mary Vanatter. As well as uncle John Mobley and wife Sheena, and cousins Will, Jack, Beau, Graeson, Cooper, Garner and Maggie Mobley along with cousin Addie Middleton. There is also a great host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.
Ethan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Coye Dean King. Ethan and his Grandpa shared a love that only God can create and the family is leaning on the knowledge that they are reunited in Heaven.
Ethan was a man that enjoyed his family and friends most of all. He was devoted to the ones he loved and those that loved him. Ethan also enjoyed the outdoors through archery, hunting, fishing, shooting sports, and offroad motorcycles. Ethan was quite successful in the sport of target archery. He won in excess of 10 indoor and outdoor national championships at different levels including the Men's Open class at the prestigious Lancaster Archery Classic. He represented the United States of America on the Junior World archery team winning a gold medal. He set a World Record in field archery that still stands. In addition to the outdoors, Ethan loved to work with his hands. He enjoyed welding, working on cars and motorcycles and was very good at fixing almost anything. He liked tinkering on his archery bow, maybe more than shooting it, and he was always willing to help someone else with theirs.
Charles Ethan King departed this life on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at the age of 25 years, 11 months, and 14 days. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
