Charles Allen "Chuck" Kinyon

Of Mason, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the age of 73.

Chuck was born December 20, 1952, in Eaton Rapids, Michigan, the son of Lyle and Marie (Keehn) Kinyon. He was raised in Mason and graduated from Mason High School with the Class of 1970. Following graduation, Chuck briefly worked at the Fisher Body plant before pursuing a career in construction.

Chuck was a highly skilled carpenter who took great pride in his work. Over the years he completed many roofing, bar-building, and home remodeling projects throughout the Lansing, Eaton Rapids, and Mason areas.

Hunting was Chuck's greatest passion. Throughout his life he harvested many impressive bucks and especially enjoyed the time he spent outdoors. He traveled to Colorado for elk hunting and was also fortunate enough to receive a Michigan elk tag, giving him the opportunity to pursue an elk here in his home state.

Chuck was a longtime member of the Michigan Steam Engine and Threshers Club in Mason, where he participated in numerous events and generously built memorial benches to honor fellow members who had passed away.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his infant sister, Linda Kinyon.

Chuck is survived by his brother, Ken (Jeanette) Kinyon; his sister, Nancy (David) Middleman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A service for Chuck will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 16, 2026 at Skinner Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids with visitation starting at 10:00 AM. The family will host a meal immediately after the burial back at the funeral home.
