Charles "Chuck" Laperouse

Catahoula - A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at the Catahoula Multi-Purpose Building in the Catahoula Park for Charles "Chuck" Laperouse, 57, who passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at his residence.
Chuck worked as a mechanic in the oilfield industry for many years. He cherished his last two positions at Oilfield Marine Contractors and Quality Marine. Chuck was also a member of the Jaycees. He loved country music, hunting, fishing, farming, and gardening. Above all, he adored his family, especially his wife, Eve and son, Dexter. Chuck was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Eve Doré Laperouse; son, Dexter J. Laperouse (Ashley); grandchild, Cohen Laperouse; sisters, Susan Dupont (Daniel), Charlene Indest Guidry (Richard), JoEllen Doré (Mike) and Felecie Dugas; brother, David Laperouse (Suzanne); godchildren, Lauren Fuselier, Amanda Tate and Colby Douet; father-in-law, Norman Doré; stepmother, Flo Laperouse; and brother-in-law, Scott Doré (Cynthia).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Joseph Laperouse, Sr. and Margaret Ann Laperouse; mother-in-law, Barbara Doré; brothers-in-law, Ravis "Booboo" Dugas and Freddie Indest; and special friends, Kevin Bernis, Rusty Judice, Richard Phar, and Greg Landry.
Pallbearers will be David Laperouse, Chip Fuselier, Paul Broussard, Johnny Castille, Trent Lasseigne, Peter Bienvenu, Jason Garrett, David Fuselier, Dwayne Boutte, DJ Comeaux, Greg Pittman and Charles "Chuck Chuck" Judice.
