Charles Hue Leath was born April 13,1942 in Noma, Florida. Charles attended Roulhac High School in Chipley Florida. Charles moved to Columbus, Ohio in the early 70s.
He was a dedicated employee with the Columbus Schools as a bus driver. After retirement, he later accepted a job with SMB Company and retired due to illness.
Charles loved sports, and he spent hours and days watching or playing. He also loved to watch westerns on TV and listening to old music, playing cards and dominoes; he did not like to lose.
Charles was a family man and a loving father. He was a socially active man who enjoyed being involved with his children, family and friends.
Charles entered eternal rest on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, he was 82 years of age. He was preceded in death by (father) and mother.
Charles Hue Leath is survived by his brothers, Sam and Jeannette of Columbus, Eugene and Gwendolyn of Georgia, Gennie and Sherlene of Alabama; sisters, Marjorie of Florida and Betty Ann of Alabama; children, Charles, Carla (Ben), Chris (Tennille) of New Jersey, Andre (Janie) of Kentucky, Donnie (Veronica) of Kentucky, Tashaya of Columbus, Mark (Cindy) of Columbus.
Also remembering Charles with love are his grandchildren, his great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
Visitation 10:00 AM and Funeral Service 11:00 AM Thursday, August 8, 2024 at Chapel of Peace - East, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.
