Charles Wayne Leavitt, age 82, of Coldwater, passed away Friday, August 15, 2025, at The Laurels of Coldwater. He was born December 10, 1942, in Quincy, to William and Ardella (Jetmore) Leavitt. Charles married Carolyn Mueller on September 12, 1964, and she survives.

Charles graduated from Quincy High School in 1963, and he went on to work at Crotty Corporation in both Quincy and Prescott, Arkansas. He later was employed at Bundy Tubing in Quincy and retired from Asama Coldwater Manufacturing. Charles loved building model airplanes, bowling, and serving as a member of the Coldwater Jaycees.

In addition to his wife, Carolyn Leavitt, Charles is survived by two daughters, Brenda Leavitt of Coldwater, and Caroline (Michael) Dewitt of Fremont, Indiana; two sons, George (Anita) Leavitt of Hope, Arkansas, and Charles Wayne "C.J." Leavitt Jr. of Clarksville, Tennessee; three grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; three brothers, Carl (Faye) Leavitt of Coldwater, Ronald (Sherry) Leavitt of Prescott, Arkansas, and Harold (Linda) Leavitt of Southaven, Mississippi; and one sister-in-law, Darlene Leavitt of Okeechobee, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, William Leavitt; and one sister, Doris Leavitt Balm.

Funeral Services for Charles W. Leavitt will be held Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy with Charles Leavitt Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Quincy. The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Memorial Contributions are suggested to the family to assist with final expenses.
