Charles D. Levering

Charles D. "Charlie" Levering, 60, suddenly passed away August 3, 2025, at the Reading Hospital.
He was the loving husband of Joan L. Levering, married 32 years.
Born at the Reading Hospital and raised in Wyomissing Hills, he was a son of the late Alvin and Arlene Levering.
He was a graduate of Wyomissing High School, class of 1982.
Charlie co-owned AL Levering Plumbing & Heating in West Reading with his brother for many years. Charlie was recognized for his strong work ethic and unwavering support for those in need. Customers, family, and friends knew they could always count on Charlie to respond promptly and offer assistance without hesitation.
Charlie was passionate about golf, relishing his time at the Reading Country Club for the Tuesday night scramble, where he enjoyed many years of camaraderie with friends. In addition to his love for the sport, he cherished his role as a grandfather to Elodie and Charles, and enjoyed many trips to Disney World and Florida beaches.
Charlie's memory will endure through the countless stories shared by those who hold him dear.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Amanda E., wife of Matthew Fulford; four siblings: Frederick, husband of Janet Levering, Nancy, widow of Randy Brossman, Barbara, wife of Randy Robitzer, and Andrew Levering, along with Julie Levering. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Elodie and Charles; several nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
A Celebration of Life Services will be Sunday August, 17, 2025, at 3:00p.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be private. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00p.m. to 3:00p.m. at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Charlie's memory to a charity of your choice.
