Charles Stewart McLaughlin, 60, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025, at his home. He was born on September 1, 1965, to the late Ray Stewart and Beverly Lee Frazier McLaughlin. He was of the Christian faith. Charlie was a car guy through and through, he loved racing of any kind and loved to work on cars. He was a natural comedian and always wanted to make people laugh. His greatest joy in life was being a Dad, a PawPaw, an uncle, and a great-uncle. He loved his family dearly and will be missed by so many.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several aunts, uncles, and grandparents.
He leaves behind his cherished, long-time girlfriend, Connie Barmoy and her daughters, Brittany Watkins and Lindsey Barmoy; daughter, Christina Shay (Kyle) Windham; siblings, Johnny McLaughlin and Stacy McLaughlin Garland; grandson, Mylon Matthew Windham; nephews, Logan (Emilee Simpson) Garland and Christian (August) Garland; aunt, Martha Harris; and many other loved ones and friends.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM-2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Companion Funeral Home-Chattanooga Chapel, 6018 John Douglas Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37421. The memorial service will begin at 2:00 PM.
