Charles Coleman Moberly, passed away on March 30, 2025 at the age of 71 years after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born on December 22, 1953 in London, Kentucky to the late Coleman and Geneva Pennington Moberly.
He is survived by two daughters, Rachael Chesnut and husband Donnie of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, Sara Beth Clements and husband Ryan of Berea, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Hannah Chesnut, Allie Chesnut, Emma Chesnut, James Coleman Chesnut, Tadasha Clements, and Urvashi Clements; two sisters, Susan Cox and husband Stan of Hingham, Massachusetts, and Nancy Valmassoi of Charolette, North Carolina; the mother of his children, Louella Poore, Lily, Kentucky; former wife Martha Moberly of Pittsburgh, Kentucky who brought him peace and comfort in his final days.
Though his journey throughout life was fraught with difficulties, he displayed resilience and strength up until his last breath.
He had an undeniable passion for many things like, college sports, time spent reminiscing with others, hallmark movies, cabin life, along with many others things helped him find joy in his life. One can remember him for his "Charlie wisdom", charm and sense of humor that truly made him one-of-a-kind. His memory will carry on through a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
May he rest in peace, knowing his memory will forever be cherished.
The funeral service for Charles Coleman Moberly will be conducted at 3 pm Saturday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Denny McCowan officiating. Burial will follow in Landrum Cemetery in East Bernstadt.
The family of Charles Coleman Moberly will receive friends beginning at 1 pm Saturday until the funeral hour of 3 pm at Bowling Funeral Home.
