Charles Ricky “Rick” Montcalm, age 63 of Potosi, Mo, formerly of Owensville, passed away at the Potosi Mo hospital, June 25, 2025.
Rick was born September 17, 1961, in Rolla, Mo, to Charles and Mary (Crider) Montcalm. Rick enjoyed gardening, riding his Harley, grilling all his favorite meats, fresh vegetables out of his garden, making his own stuffing and baking the biggest turkey he could find for Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings. He worked as a pipe fitter/welder, traveling across the United States with Metro Contract Services out of Madison, Il. for over 20 plus years. His goal in life was to have his own home surrounded by land, his personal belongings, family and retirement. All his goals were met: however, retirement was cut short.
Rick was preceded in death by his brothers, Kent and Michael Montcalm, half-brother, Roger Montcalm, and father, Chares H. (Bob) Montcalm.
He is survived by his son Brian Montcalm and his wife Jen along with grandson Dylan and daughter Amber Montcalm Parrish, all of Camdenton, Mo, Parker of the home and Ella of Florida whom Rick treated as his grandkids; his mother, Mary Crider Montcalm of Bland; siblings Barbara Warner of Bland, Mo, Lisa Hayes of Bland, Mo, Teri Abela and husband Tony of Hermann, Mo, Sandy Horton and husband Art of Stanton, Mo, and Karen Dittman and husband Todd of Caanan, Mo; half siblings, Debbie Bennett of Springfield Mo, Kevin Montcalm of Bourbon Mo, and Jim Montcalm of Auxvasse Mo.
A graveside memorial service will be held at Crider Cemetery, Bland Mo on Saturday, July 26th, 2025 beginning at 11:00 a.m.
