Charles Moore Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 1, 2025.
Charles L. Moore, a cherished husband, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2025, at the age of 78 in Ewing, NJ. Born on March 27, 1946, in Trenton, NJ, Charles was a man of integrity, warmth, and unwavering support for his loved ones.
Charles, fondly known as Lenny to his immediate family or Charlie to his friends and extended family, was the beloved husband of Judy Moore, with whom he shared 50 years of devoted marriage. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles E. Moore and Mary J. Moore. His memory will be treasured by his brothers, Ronald Moore (Dianna), William Moore and partner Carol Sellers, and his sister-in-law Jean Petretta. Charlie's spirit will live on through his adored nieces and nephews: Alicia Gonzalez (Victor), Brian Moore (Veronica), Laura Curvin (Brian), Sue Schreyer (Rudy), and Amy Tedesco (Frank), and their families, including his great-nephews Dominic C. Gonzalez, Daniel Curvin, Ryan Schreyer, Will Schreyer, and Justin Schreyer, and great-nieces Sarah Curvin, Grace Tedesco, and Lily Tedesco.
A proud graduate of Steinert High School in 1963, Charlie's work ethic and dedication were evident throughout his career. After graduating, Charlie enlisted and served in the United States Army, and received an honorable discharge after 4 years of service. He served the New Jersey Treasury and Justice departments as an offset printer for 25 years, leaving a legacy of professionalism and camaraderie. His career also included time at Thiokol as a printer and chauffeur, and NECA as a laborer for several years. His colleagues remember him as a reliable and hardworking individual who brought a sense of calm and humor to the workplace.
Charlie's passion for life was reflected in his diverse interests and hobbies. A lifelong fan of the New York Yankees and Giants, he remained loyal, celebrating their victories and standing by them during challenging times. His enthusiasm extended to the sporting events of his nieces and nephews, where he cheered them on with pride.
An avid reader, Charlie found solace and adventure within the pages of books. His love for nature was evident in the simple pleasures he found in watching birds and squirrels from the comfort of his sun room, a place where he spent many peaceful hours.
Cremation will be private. Donations in Charlie's name may be made to St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 47 West Afton Ave, Yardley, PA 19047.
