Charles Moreland Obituary

He was born on June 14, 1934 in Phelps County, MO to the late Floyd Moreland and Ima (Roam) Moreland. On October 3, 1952 he married Josie Louise (Hayes) Moreland. In addition to his parents, Charles was also preceded in death by his wife, Josie Louise; a brother, George Moreland; a sister, Shirley Shannon; and four brothers-in-law, Bobby Hayes, Johnny Roy, Wes Shannon and Wayne Spencer.
Charles was an excellent carpenter and enjoyed building new homes. When not working, he found joy in hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family and attending church to worship. Charles had an incredible sense of humor.
Charles will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes: his children, Holly (Gary) Catron, Sue (Jim) Croft, Tim (Lydia) Moreland, Harvey (Arlene) Moreland, and Matt (Anita) Moreland; three sisters, Wanda Roy, Barbara Spencer, and Sarah (Jimmy) Lewis; two brothers, Joe (Sue) Moreland and Dave (Joyce) Moreland; a sister-in-law, Charlotte Moreland; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Charles W. Moreland will be conducted at 11 am on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla. Interment will follow in the Rolla City Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:30 am at the funeral home.
