Born on February 10, 1957, in Prentice, Mississippi, to Wilbur Ray and Marilyn Lee Mullins, Chuck lived a life filled with faith, love, and purpose.
After graduating from Forest Hill High School in 1975, he went on to earn his degree from Dallas Baptist University. Chuck built a long and successful career in the automotive industry, spending more than 25 years as general manager and partner at Van Chevrolet in Scottsdale, Arizona. But more than any title or achievement, he was known for his integrity, his kindness, and the way he treated everyone like family.
Faith was the foundation of his life. Deeply involved in ministry at Illuminate Community Church, Chuck found great joy in men's groups and in hosting small gatherings with friends-sharing stories, encouragement, and his love for the Lord. His quiet strength and gentle wisdom touched the lives of so many.
He married the love of his life, Karen Buck, and together they celebrated 48 beautiful years of marriage. Their journey took them from Jackson, Mississippi, to Dallas, Texas, and finally to Phoenix, Arizona, where they built a life full of family, faith, and friendship. Chuck adored Karen and was endlessly proud of the family they created together.
He had a curious mind and a joyful spirit. Chuck loved music, playing both guitar and piano, and had a lifelong fascination with history-especially American history. He enjoyed collecting watches, cherishing none more than his grandfather's pocket watch. Whether he was traveling, golfing with friends, or relaxing at the family cabin in Show Low, Arizona, Chuck found joy in the simple blessings of life.
Above all, he loved God, his family, and his country. He leaves behind a legacy of love and faith carried on by his beloved wife, Karen; his children, Nick, Steve (Ashley), and Kelly (Steve); his 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his sister, Carol (Paul); his brother, Rusty (Holly); his stepmother, Syble; his nieces and nephews; and extended family including Ann Mullarkey-along with countless friends who were blessed by his presence.
Chuck lived with purpose, led with humility, and loved with his whole heart. His faith was steady, his laughter was contagious, and his impact will live on through everyone who had the honor of knowing him.
"Jesus answered, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" – John 14:6
