Charles "Chuck" Murphy, 75, of Normal passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025 at McLean County Nursing Home in Normal.
Chuck was born on October 8, 1950 in Peoria, a son to Loren and Mildred Moore Murphy.
Survivors include two brothers, Colen (Leonor) Murphy of South Haven, MI, and Bradley (Sue) Murphy of Cape Coral, FL and one sister, Patricia (Paul) McGuire of West Melbourne, FL, seven nieces and nephews, two great nieces and special friends Tom and Julie Grant
He was preceded in death by his parents and one great-niece, Gabriella McGuire
Chuck grew up in Heyworth and graduated from Heyworth High School in 1968. He worked for Kenny Grant Builders and then was self-employed as a carpenter. Chuck attended New Horizon Christian Church in Heyworth and he enjoyed watching Cubs baseball and college football.
Chuck enjoyed many years in Boy Scouts. He would be pleased to have memorial contributions made to Boy Scouts Troop 931 in Heyworth, IL.
A private family interment will be held at Blooming Grove Cemetery in Bloomington, Illinois.
