Charles Junior "Chuck" Newland, 78, of Frankfort, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at his home. Chuck was born on Monday, July 7, 1947, in Greenfield, the son of the late Charles Alonzo Newland and Bessie Marie Boggs. On May 21, 1966, he married the former Wilma Kay "Kate" Higginbotham.
He is survived by his wife, Kate, their three children; Bill (Debbie) Newland of Clarksburg, Angela Kay Newland and Kimberly Sue (Robert) Woodruff all of Frankfort, four grandchildren; Bethany (Logan) Wood, Greg Newland, Michael (Hannah) Newland and Hannah Newland, two great-grandchildren; Addilyn and Layne, one sister; Ruth Anne Stine of Tucson, Arizona, one brother; Jerry (Pam) Newland of Marion, OH and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends. He was preceded in death by two sisters; Thelma (Omar)Thompson and Debbie (Phillip) Baney and three brothers; Russell (Esther) Thompson, John Tull and Joe Kerns.
Chuck was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He retired as Production Supervisor at Thatcher Plastics in Washington Court House. Chuck enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles. He enjoyed the times he could ride his motorcycle, spend time camping and spending time boating on the lake.
Family and friends will gather for a visitation at the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort on Tuesday. Nov. 18, 2025, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. A graveside service will follow at the Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort with Pastor Jon Welch officiating. Military Honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard and the United States Marines.
