Charles John "Chuck" Nordman, 58, of Asheboro, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025 surrounded by family at his home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
Chuck was born in Massachusetts and most recently lived in Asheboro. He had a love for his country, as evidenced by his service in the United States Navy. Following his time in the service, he received his Associates Degree from Vance Granville Community College and began working as a Plant Manager for Glen Raven Custom Fabrics in Norlina.
Chuck was a very active person who enjoyed a variety of hobbies and activities. He had his Second Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo and was a former member of The Heart of Carolina Mustang Club, having previously served as the events coordinator. Chuck was always interested in a thrill and in May of 2023, he along with his wife Ronda and son Casey, were able to participate in the Xtreme Xperience at Dominion Raceway and drive their choice of exotic cars, to which Chuck chose a Porsche. The more laid back side of Chuck could be found drinking a Baja Blast "Nectar of the God's" while reading a book by Clive Cussler, enjoying a cruise with family and friends, or gaming with his longtime friends, Steve and Joyce Leeds.
Chuck had a huge heart for others and it brought him joy to have his friends and family together, especially if it meant spending time around "Chuck's Pool". Not only did he enjoy time with loved ones, but it brought him joy to give and share his talents with them as well. Chuck could frequently be found in the kitchen baking sweets for his friends and family, especially his favorite Pineapple Upside Down Cake, his homemade pizzas, and eating fried chicken with his good friends, Bill and Theresa Riggs.
Chuck began dating the love of his life and she quickly became his entire world. The two of them married nearly six years ago on May 4th, which is "Star Wars Day". While Chuck enjoyed Star Wars, Superman and Marvel, this was a special day to him; however, it was the next available day she could get off of work. The two of them have built a life full of happiness, love and blessings. He is survived by his wife, Ronda Loftis Nordman, of the home, parents, Will and Sue Nordman, of Wendell, children, Casey Nordcliff (Teresa Nguyen), of Manassas, VA, Amanda Duncan (TJ), of Lake Charles, LA, Aaron Ayers (Hollie), of Randleman, granddaughter, Renleigh Shaye Duncan, of Lake Charles, LA, and one grandson coming in May, Noah Wayne Ayers. He is also survived by his sister, Virginia Cooper, of Millville, NJ, brother, Rick Nordman, of Cary, his mother-in-law, Joyce Loftis, of Randleman, as well as his special "fur-babies", Rexy and Doofus. Chuck was preceded in death by his brother, Rob Nordman.
The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to the staff of the Cone Health Cancer Center in Asheboro as well as to Hospice of Randolph for the exceptional care and compassion provided to Chuck throughout his journey. Your "Superman" and his family could never thank you enough for the love you have shown.
