Charles Proctor, 80, passed away on June 1, 2025. Born and raised in Nash County, Charles was the son of the late Marshall Proctor and Lois Skinner Proctor. He was a devoted member of Northside Community Church, where his faith and kindness touched many lives.
In his younger years, Charles had a passion for softball, a sport which he was very good at. His talent, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm made him a great player and a cherished teammate. Charles also loved bass fishing, watching NASCAR races and his side kick Rosie.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Diane Proctor; his daughter, Emily Proctor Andrews; his brother, Michael Rudy Proctor; his sisters, Kaye Goff and Brenda Weaver; his adored grandchild, Kendall Nicole Andrews and many special nieces.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Marvin Danny "Sam" Proctor.
A memorial service to honor Charles's life will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Cornerstone Funeral Home, with a visitation to follow after the service.
Charles's legacy of love, dedication, and joy will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
