Charles Pyke Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Herman-Taylor Funeral Home - Wisconsin Rapids on Dec. 17, 2025.
With faith in his Savior and surrounded by the love of his family, Charles A. Pyke, age 95, entered eternal rest on December 16, 2025.

Born and educated in Athens, Michigan, Charles moved to Wisconsin in 1946, where he met and married Alice (Cline), his devoted wife and partner of 76 years. Together they built a life rich in love and blessings, raising three children: Don (Annette) Pyke, Sharon (Don) Brehm, and Barbara (Zac) Bushmaker. Their family grew to include 8 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, each a cherished part of his legacy.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Nellie Pyke; his sisters, June Hansen, Elaine Williams, and Arlene Mortoff; and his brothers, Ron Pyke and Bob Pyke.

A man of adventure and joy, Charles loved camping, traveling, and exploring the country on his beloved "Gold Wing" motorcycle. His gentle spirit, steadfast love, and unwavering devotion to family and faith were a gift to all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vesper. Visitation will take place at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
