It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Willard (Chuck) Richards. He passed peacefully from this world to be with his Savior, Thursday, February 13, 2025, at the age of 91. His departure has left a void that can never be filled, but his memory will forever remain in our hearts.
He was born November 6, 1933, in Bald Knob, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Edward and Lillie Nell (Crenshaw) Richards and a brother, Donald Richards. He is survived by his siblings, JoAnn McAdams (John), Gary Richards (Wilma), Thomas Richards (Pamela), Patti Hix and sister-in-law, Marie Richards; 2 sons, Charles Richards and David Richards; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
After attending school at Bald Knob, he enlisted in the Navy. He was deployed to the Philippines. He served his country with honor. Returning to Bald Knob, he spent time with his beloved family before moving to Little Rock. He worked in a dental lab, then on to Dow Chemical. His most cherished employment was at the Dardanelle School District. He made many friends while working as a custodian. He was known as "Mr. Chuck" at school by administrators, faculty, staff and students. He often referred to the students as "my kids." He returned home to Bald Knob after retiring from the Dardanelle School District.
In his free time, he loved sports. He enjoyed going to various Sand Lizard's sporting events. He spent many years supporting and following his beloved Razorbacks. He really liked it when his team was winning.
While residing in Russellville, Arkansas, he attended the West Side Church of Christ. After returning home, he attended Central Baptist Church in Bald Knob with his family and friends from the past to the present.
