CHARLES LEE ROTH
BARRE - Chuck Roth went to his heavenly home with the Lord on October 31, 2022. Born in Elba on April 13, 1946 to the late Earl and Florence Roth. He served six years in the United States Navy and then retired after 41 years with GM.
He loved working and God does love a worker. He worked with his hands so he could live with his heart. AND HE DID!
Chuck loved farming, especially his own little hobby farm. He loved tractors and was a proud charter member of the Western New York Two-Cylinder Club. In his retirement, he restored pedal tractors and miniature farm toys. He enjoyed caning chairs and appreciated antiques.
He loved gardening and always shared with others. We all enjoyed his homemade applesauce and home canned tomatoes and sauce. He had so many talents and was busy with projects all the time. Chuck was a sincere, generous and humble man. He always did his best and tried to do the right thing.
As a member of the West Barre UMC, and servant of God, he gave of himself in countless ways to the church.
Survived by his wife of 52 years, his soulmate and best friend Shirley, two outstanding daughters and their husbands Sarah (Gary) Cornelisse, Courtney (Eric) Stoll, three amazing grandchildren Emma and Nicholas Stoll and Owen Cornelisse. He was so proud of all of them.
Also survived by siblings Irene and Earl (Ann), brother-in-law Sonny (Betty), sister-in-law Joanne and nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by siblings Carl, Rose and Jim, mother and father-in-law Ida and Alfred.
In memory of Chuck, please be kind and remember the Golden Rule - Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. And, have understanding and be respectful of the hearing impaired.
We will love you and miss you forever, honey.
Papa Chuck will be in our hearts forever and we'll see you in the stars. God is waiting with open arms.
Private service for family is planned with Military Honors
Chuck's arrangements have been entrusted to the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home Albion, NY.
