Charles Russell Obituary

Born January 3, 1946, in Sumter, he was a son of the late John Tyler Russell, Sr. and the late Ellen Hodge Russell. Mr. Russell was a member of Fraser Memorial Presbyterian Church. He owned and operated Russell's Welding.
Survivors include his favorite granddaughter, Victoria L. Riles; a grandson, Lewis Riles (April); a niece, Rosanna Shirer; and a great nephew, Russell Shirer.
He was preceded in death by his favorite sister, Doris Geddings.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Sumter Cemetery officiated by the Rev. Chuck Staggs.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home.
Memorials may be sent to a church of one's choice.
