Charles "Charlie" Russell

Charles E. Russell of Connersville passed away on November 14, 2025, at Reid Healthcare in Richmond at the age of 68. Charlie was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on October 5, 1957, the son of Albert and Ninnie Abner Russell.

For over 20 years he worked at Ready Tool and Die/Crown. He also worked at National Metal for a few years. Charlie was an artist that loved to paint, draw and woodworking. He enjoyed being outdoors working in his yard and flower gardens.

He is survived by his children, Tracy Grimes, Courtney (Wiley) Roberts, Heather (Charlie) Lloyd, Brian (Mary) Russell, Ryan Russell and Chris Russell; a sister, Stacey (Greg) Collett; grandchildren, Austin, Tyler, Zach, Sierra, Brianna, Hunter, Jaden, Mason, Charley-Ann, Jaxon, Bentley and Raylan; great granddaughters, Sariyah and Katerina; his first wife, Kathleen Evans and a daughter-in-law, Brooke Russell.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn White and a great granddaughter, Brooklee.

Funeral services will be held at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8th Street, Connersville, on Friday November 21, 2025, at 1:00 pm. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the hour of the service. Charlie will be laid to rest at Laurel North Cemetery.
