Charles "Tex" Ryan, Jr., age 71 of Bowling Green, KY, passed away Friday, August 22, 2025 at the Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital in Bowling Green, KY.

Tex was born in San Antonio, TX, to the late Charles Dallas Ryan and the late Charla Kay Dootson Ryan.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Cathy Ryan; son, Chris (Lisa) Ryan of Franklin, KY; daughter, Brandi (Trevor) Squires of Montgomery, IL; grandchildren, Mady Ryan, K.C. Ryan, James Roberts, Cody (Courtney) McMillion, Ashley Squires and Trevor Squires Jr; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Dean and River McMillion; brothers, Mike (Christine) Ryan, Danny (Colleen) Ryan, and sister, Debbie Ryan. Several nieces and nephews, and his fur babies, Mindy and Missy also survive.

Originally from Wheaton, Illinois and retired to Kentucky, Tex was a maintenance mechanic for over 45 years. He loved working with his hands fixing and tinkering with things. He loved the outdoors, especially being on the lake fishing. Tex loved his family dearly and was the best father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

The family has entrusted J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel with arrangements.

A memorial service is scheduled to be conducted on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 3:00pm. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00pm until the time of service at 3:00pm.
