Charles Francis Sandish, Sr., 73, of Lexington, South Carolina, passed away on December 6, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and quiet resilience. Born on July 7, 1952, in Charleston, Charles carried the spirit of his hometown with him throughout his life.

Charlie was known for his kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering devotion to family. He built a life marked by hard work, compassion, and dedication to those he loved. He touched countless lives through his generosity, his wisdom, and his presence. Those who knew him will remember the way he was quick to offer a helping hand.

Above all, Charlie cherished his family. He is survived by his loving wife Kathy; his children, Charles Sandish, Jr., Ashley Brock Sandish, and Amanda Looney (Greg); his stepsons, Brian Patterson (Lauren), and Brett Patterson (Erika); grandchildren, Sullivan Looney, Tessa Looney, Lacey Patterson, Isabella Patterson, Preston Patterson; his niece, Lisa Michum (Chris); and his nephew Allen Sandish, each of whom carries a piece of his heart and his legacy. He was preceded in death by his brother, Peter Sandish.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 12th, at Thompson Funeral Home, where family and friends will gather to honor the life of a man who meant so much to so many.

Though he is no longer here in body, the memory of Charles Francis Sandish, Sr.-his laughter, his love, and the steady presence he brought into the world, will remain forever in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
