Charles Scheller Obituary

Charles "Chuck" Scheller, age 89, of Savage, Minnesota, passed away on September 5, 2025, with the love of his life, Monica, at his side.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Monica. His six children and their families: Terry (Tom), Greg (Jenn), Ken (Lisa), Al (Carol), Rob (Jim), Renee' (Brandon); Seven Grandchildren, Five Great-Grandchildren, Sister-in-law, Donna Scheller, and a zillion nieces and nephews. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Rose (Mauer) Scheller, and, as we called him, "the last man standing," all of his 12 siblings.
Chuck was born on January 31, 1936, in Hankinson, North Dakota.
Chuck was a veteran of the Korean War, a former Councilman for the city of Savage,
and a great storyteller and fierce card player.
He loved time spent in the outdoors, camping, hunting, and playing golf.
We will celebrate Chuck's life with a gathering of family and friends on Thursday, September 11 – 4-7PM hosted at McNearney-Schmidt Funeral and Cremation, 1220 3rd Ave. E – Shakopee. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, September 12 – 10:30AM at Saint John the Baptist, 4625 W 125th St – Savage. Reception will follow Mass at church. Burial will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
