Charles A. Schweitzer
Was reunited with Judith, his beloved wife of 55 years, on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at the age of 88. Loving father of Mark Schweitzer, Maria (Tony) Russo, Matthew (Maggie) Schweitzer, and Michelle (Tom) Kuna. Proud grandfather of Tyler, Conner, Jesse, Brandon, Sophia, Forest, Elizabeth, Teddy, and Abby and great-grandfather of 7. Dear brother of Charlene (the late Carl), Clyde (Marge), Cliff, and Connie (Brian). Preceded in death by his parents, Casper and Colette Schweitzer.
Charles was a farmer who enjoyed horses and vacationing with his family. He loved his daily brandy Manhattan along with his cigarette. He will be missed by many of his neighbors at Sacred Heart at Monastery Lake.
Visitation will be held at Max A. Sass & Sons-Mission Hills Chapel (8910 W. Drexel Ave., Franklin) on Thursday, October 10th from 4-7 PM with a Vigil Service at 7 PM. Additional visitation will be held at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church (7963 S. 116th Street, Franklin) on Friday, October 11th from 9:30-10:45 AM with the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Burial to follow at St. Martin of Tours Cemetery.
