Charles Wayne Skyles

Charles Wayne Skyles 78 passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025, at his home. Born in 1947 in Charlestown, WV to the late William Sterling and Alma Catherine (Spillman) Skyles. He attended New Albany High School, was a Marine Veteran, worked as a maintenance machinist for 20 years at Brown and Williamson Tobacco Co and then for 10 years as a projectionist. He enjoyed hunting and fishing was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Bill Skyles; and sisters; Janet Brewer and Pamela Parks.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Margaret Vander Espt Skyles; children, Charles (Cindy) and Cory (Christi) Skyles; grandchildren, Katelyn (Zach) Weber, Cory (Jessica) Skyles, William (Jayzmine) Skyles, Sommer, McKenzie, and Dillon; Great Grandchildren, Caylee, Ella, Billy, Amelia, Lakyn, and Anastasia, as well as Jordan, Brian, Ted, and Davya.

Visitation will be 3:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, August 8, 2025, at Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home East Louisville, 12900 Shelbyville Rd, "In Middletown". Funeral Services will be at 12:00 pm Saturday, August 9, 2025 at the funeral home followed by burial at Floyds Fork Cemetery in Fisherville, KY.
