Charles Snead Obituary
Charles Snead, 77 of Elkhart, IN passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025 at Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart, IN. Charles was born on September 13, 1948 to William and Sarah Yvonne Snead in Cedar Grove, WV. He married Linda Fegley on November 1, 1969 in Elkhart, IN. She preceded him in death on November 23, 2015.
Charles retired as a maintenance man from Elkhart Products. He enjoyed sports from the Chicago Bears, football to the New York Yankees and baseball, back to his roots in west Virginia Mountaineers. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family.
Charles is survived by his son Charles W. Snead of Elkhart, IN and his brother John (Linda) Snead of North Olmstead, OH and his sister Carolyn (Jimmy) Kinder of Westlake, OH., as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Charles was preceded in death by his parents William and Sarah Yvonne Snead, wife Linda, and his siblings Larry Snead, Betty Dunlap, Patricia Craigo and Claudette Chadwell.
Friends may gather with family from 3-7 pm on Friday, December 19, 2025 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514. Online condolences may be made to Charles family at www.stemmlawsonpeterson.com
