Charles Edward South Jr., of Marathon Florida, age 63, died January 24, 2023.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
Charles was born April 14, 1959, in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Charles Edward South Sr., and the late Anita Jo Brewer South.
Charles attended schools in Alabama, Mississippi and Florida. He was a PADI Master Scuba Diver Instructor. He was the founder of Deep South Scuba, in Ridgeland Mississippi, which bears his name. He enjoyed sharing his love of the water, and taught hundreds of people to scuba dive.
Charles is preceded in death by his mother, Anita Jo Brewer Stowers.
He is survived by his father, Charles E. South, Sr., and step mother Sylvia South. Sisters, Joni South, and Angela South Draper. He is also survived by an aunt, Brenda Poynor, and uncle, Joe Brewer, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Charles was an adventurous fun loving soul. His heart was always in the blue water of the Florida Keys, where he will remain for eternity. He touched many lives, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
