Charles J. "Chuck" Spain, aged 65, passed away at Riverside Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 with his wife Melinda by his side.
Born July 20, 1960 in Warwick, NY, he was the son of the late James Spain and Karen Margolis. Chuck graduated from Greenville Central School in 1978. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1978-1982, enlisting right after graduation and going straight to Camp Pendleton and then Japan. During his teenage years Chuck worked in his father's garage in Greenville, NY and later worked as maintenance for Greenville High School. In his free time Chuck enjoyed riding on his Harley Davidson Ultraglide, spending time with friends and loved ones, playing video games especially with his son, and listening to his favorite bands; Eric Clapton, Lynyrd Skynyrd, AC/DC, Kid Rock, and many more. He was also an avid fan of NY Jets, NY Knicks, and the NY Rangers.
Chuck is survived by his only son, Jacob and his mother Sarian, as well as his wife Melinda. In addition to his parents, Chuck was predeceased by his brother, Nickolas "Nick".
A memorial service will be on Saturday, November 1st from 1pm-4pm at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home in Greenville, NY followed by a celebration of life at Blackthorne in East Durham, NY. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his memory to American Cancer Society for Pancreatic Cancer Research.
